Cara Delevingne’s interview with Rupert Everett is very revealing

It’s revealing because the model-singer-actress talks about a time in her life when she was depressed, felt disconnected and struggled with inner conflicts in a very honest way. You can see why she is so passionate about authenticity and self-expression.

The poem she wrote as a teen battling with depression reminded me of this quote:

 

The most common lie is, “I’m fine.”

 

The underlying problem many procrastinators and others who can’t seem to stick to healthy habits have, I believe, is some type of untreated mental health condition or mood disorder. I hope with high profile people like Cara sharing their experiences, more silent sufferers will seek help and we begin to destigmatize mental illness.
