At the BET Awards and other red carpet shindigs, you see a lot of “white-on-white” outfits, but are they practical for everyday wear?
An all-white OOTD adds serious pop to your style and helps you stand out. You will need to be a little more careful than usual, which is a challenge when you’re eating, but wearing all-white can elevate your fashion game for the day.
Whether you’re looking for something for a date, for work, for a special occasion, or for weekends running errands and doing brunch, we have some all-white outfits to inspire you.
3 WHITE DATE LOOKS
Can someone say, Roman Goddess! This off-the-shoulder dress is a great date look. Paired with bone and gold heels the overall look is monochromatic and simple, yet striking.
In this case, matchy-matchy white works because she’s showing off enough skin to break up the monotony; leaving us to appreciate each piece. The overall effect is crisp, clean and chic.
This pleather top and sheer skirt outfit say, “I know how to dress sexy without overdoing it!” Mixing textures like cotton, sheer, and pleather is another genius style move. Love this look!
3 WAYS TO WORK WHITE AT THE OFFICE
Bringing your personality to work is a major do! This outfit and hairstyle show personality while still looking professional. White with off-white is easier to keep clean and these shoes in nude have a comfortable stacked heel that works in the office.
Do a feminine power suit. With this look, how can you not look like the boss…walking around with your hands in your pocket like that! Touches like the cinched waist and pink sunglasses keep things feminine, yet powerful.
Shirtdresses like this one from ASOS is great for casual summertime Fridays. Yes, it’s a little hassle to keep clean, but that’s minor when you get to look this cool!
3 FOR THE WEEKEND
Head-to-toe white looks just as pristine when a single piece of accessory is another color. Here the black purse makes this weekend outfit more wearable. Metallic colored sandals keep the look lighter. And how cute are the shorts?
I am not a fan of fashion “rules,” but I almost want to make one when it comes to black shoes with all-white outfits. Black shoes (especially closed toe ones) look too heavy for all-white ensembles, IMO. Black handbags, on the other hand, works. The best color shoes for all-white outfits are metallics like gold, silver, bronze and even copper. Bone, white, off-white, multi-colored, light gray and pale spring colors like pale pink and yellow all work well too.
Here, even the nail polish is white!! This look can be dressed up or down with just a change of shoes. It will take you anywhere you have to go on a summer weekend.
3 SPECIAL OCCASION WHITE
Here, Rihanna is showing skin everywhere, but the look remains classy because the dress is long. For any special event, white makes a bold black-tie statement.
Swiss-born fashion blogger, Kristina Bazan has one of the most enviable personal styles. Here she’s showing off several ways to wear all-white: With sheers, with metals, and most importantly, with confidence.
At the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscars party, Beyonce looked stunning in this all while get-up. Again, we see that gold is a great neutral tone for accessories and against dark skin, it looks extra gorgeous.
