Watch what happened when one less-than-confident guy enlists the help of a Style and Confidence Coach for a week!
A wardrobe makeover, a kick-ass photo shoot, and a series of real-life challenges — including trolling the streets and talking to strangers — went down.
For anyone working on their confidence:
- The right wardrobe can definitely up your swagger and boost your confidence.
- Finding out that other people recognize your great qualities, can shift your perspective.
- Finding common ground is one of the best ways to connect with new people.
- Used in the right way, this attitude of not giving a f*ck, can lower anxieties.
By now, you know how I like to hit you with quotes and book suggestions. Yes, yessss… you know reading is fundamental and ideas like these can shift mindsets. So if this video doesn’t motivate you to take action now, I want you to check out this book (get it at your library if you’re on a budget):
You are a bad-ass
Excerpted from the book’s description, You’re a Badass is a refreshingly entertaining how-to guide with 27 bite-sized chapters filled with hilariously inspiring stories, sage advice, easy exercises, and the occasional swear word, helping you to: Identify and change the self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors that stop you from getting what you want to create a life you totally love. And create it NOW!
I never suggest anyone become someone they’re not so, when you read books like Jen Sincero’s You’re a Badass and hear the advice of confidence coach Gianni (in this video), know that you can and more often than not, should tailor their advice to best suit you. Take the spirit of what’s being offered while staying true to yourself.
In doing so, you build real authentic confidence. Confidence isn’t copying but “modeling” a behavior that your GUT says will work for you or you feel real resistance to. (Resistance is a whole other topic, but let me just explain so you’re clear what I mean here: Resistance is USUALLY an indication that that which you’re resisting is exactly what you should be working on!) Chew on that, my darlings!
As the saying goes, confidence is something you create in yourself by believing in who you are.
I really want you to believe!
