If you’ve ever struggled to fit in, you can empathize with a younger Shay Mitchell who used to hide her heritage with blonde tresses and colored contact lenses to look less like herself.

Statistics show more than one-third of young women (and more and more boys) have trouble with their identity. Of course, with age and time comes perspective but for Shay, it was traveling abroad that helped her come to a new perspective fastest.
