Are you looking for a good pore minimizing mask? I think I have a great one for you, and best of all, the price is super friendly on your wallet.
The DIY recipe comes courtesy of Bianca from theblogstuff.com with some inspiration from Sesame at vivawoman.net.
You can expect spa-like results from this mask and with its all-natural ingredients, it’s safe for the planet. It will soothe and nourish your skin, refine and diminish pores, and revitalize your skin with a kick of Vitamin C.
And you should know, it’s gentle enough for sensitive skin.
Simple does it!
My favorite thing about this concoction is that it’s simple to make. With only 3-4 ingredients that you can probably score between your kitchen and your neighborhood grocery store in minutes, you can appreciate the simplicity of making this mask yourself.
Aloe Vera Oatmeal Orange Pore Minimizer Mask
- 1 tsp organic pure aloe vera gel (fresh is best, but bottled will work )
- 2 tbsp ground oatmeal
- The juice of half of fresh orange
- A couple of drops of tea tree oil or peppermint oil
-
Mix all ingredients together and let the mixture sit in the bowl for 10-15 minutes. This allows the oatmeal to soften and become more gentle and less abrasive on your skin.
Once the concoction is ready, apply generously to your face, taking care to avoid eye and lip areas. Leave on for around 20 minutes.
Use up to 3 times per week and be sure to use sunscreen before heading outside. Orange juice can cause photosensitivity, so it makes your skin more sensitive to the sun.
Other pore-minimizing tips
Speaking of the sun, as a general rule, using sunscreen at all times will help to minimize pores. Here are a few other great pore-minimizing tips:
- Use water-based moisturizers and products
- Exfoliate regularly
- Wash your face twice a day with a gentle gel-based cleanser
- Use retinol
